In official contests, speakers are disqualified whenever they:                             
  • Stop presenting 30 seconds or more before a Green (light) is displayed.  
  • Continue presenting  30 seconds or more after a Red (light) is displayed. 
“ 5 to 7” minute speeches last 4 minutes, 30 seconds to 7 minutes, 30 seconds.
Listen carefully to contest timing rules to be sure you are not disqualified!
